Students doing Christianity by doing Recycling and the Environment

A chance to do exercise your values every day in your own time.
A chance to do something like Edmund Rice. (He was big on a simple life style).
Some ideas for students at home or in their own time:-

Keep a box in your bedroom to put old paper, then put it in the yellow recycling bin

Checking that the yellow bin is done properly, (check the City Council website)

Say a prayer for the enviro. each day as you walk into school

At home ask about how ways to save power

At home ask about walking to places
-
Grow some pumpkins etc
-
Put old clothes, books etc in Vinnies recycling bin

Buy something at Vinnies
-
Make things last longer

People have asked, "What's happening in the RECYCLING WITH JESUS" (students doing Christian things in their own time)? It's been kind of inspiring!
At St Mark's Inala Mrs Debbie Eaton is setting up recycling in the whole school, and is following up having students doing things at home.
At Holy Spirit College Beenleigh Mrs Mary Crowley has a class doing things in their own time. Mary and her husband spent $16 000 putting solar panels on their home roof.
At Laurence's Mr Chris Lee has a group that is growing things after school and students are doing things in their own time.
At Pius X 2 classes have it written in their homework each week, and when followed up are doing things!
